Business Account Opening Checklist

Prepare your business information and documents in advance for a faster setup of your deposit account. This helps verify your business and the key individuals associated with it.

Before you begin the application process online or in a branch, here are a few general items to have on hand. Also, please note: If you’re opening an account in a branch, all signers are required to be present with their necessary identification and documentation materials.

Business Details:

  • Legal business name
  • Business address
  • NAICS classification code
  • Date business was established
  • Annual revenue
  • Business email

Identification:

Each authorized signer on the account and anyone who owns 25 percent or more of the business (if applicable) will need:

  • A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued identification or passport)1
  • Social Security Number (SSN)

1You may not need to upload a copy of your ID if you're applying online. However, you will still need the ID itself on hand to enter information from it during the application process. For verification purposes, we may request that you upload your ID in some instances.

Once you have these items gathered, you can select your business structure from the dropdown menu to see the documents you'll need.2
