Michael Asay

Michael is the SVP of Participations & Business Development at Bank of Utah, with a career spanning over three decades in various leadership roles. He began his finance career in 1989 and has worked at prominent institutions, including Zions Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, and Yasuda Trust, in roles such as Senior VP, Commercial Real Estate, VP and Relationship Manager, and Manager of Business Banking. Michael has developed expertise in relationship management, generating new business, mentoring RMs, and negotiating complex credit facilities. He holds a BS in Finance from Brigham Young University.

Outside of work, he enjoys cycling, surfing, woodworking, and sailing. Michael’s goals include improving himself personally, helping others at the bank grow in their careers, contributing to the bank’s success, and always treating others with respect.
