CLEARFIELD, Jan. 3, 2025 — Homeownership became a reality for an exceptional military family thanks to the Have a Heart Home program and the combined efforts of Bank of Utah, Nilson Homes, Clearfield City and other community partners. During a heartfelt presentation, the family — whose youngest child has special needs — was honored for their service, and presented with the keys to their new home.

The Have a Heart Home program is the driving force behind projects like this, working to provide affordable housing for families with unique needs. The program brings together individuals, businesses, builders, lenders and organizations such as the Association of REALTORS® and its affiliates to create homes and change lives.

Bank of Utah played a key role by helping secure the financing needed to make the project possible. Linda Rose, Vice President of Mortgage Lending, reflected on the experience:

"Helping the Inman family move into a home where they can feel safe and secure was truly special. It wasn’t just about financing a house — it was about giving a family a foundation for stability and growth. It took creativity and teamwork to make it happen, but seeing their joy made every step worthwhile."

The home was constructed by Nilson Homes, a long-time customer of Bank of Utah. Their team’s dedication and hard work, paired with the generosity of Clearfield City in donating the lot, helped turn this project into a reality.

This project is a testament to the power of community collaboration in honoring military families and supporting families with unique needs. Thanks to the Have a Heart Home program and the combined efforts of everyone involved, this exceptional family now has a place to call home — a place where they can look forward to the future.
