SOUTH OGDEN, Utah, Oct. 24, 2024 – Bank of Utah celebrated the recent renovation of its South Ogden branch with a community-centered event that showcased exciting upgrades and included a meaningful donation to Salvation Army Ogden to help those in need across the area. As a community bank, Bank of Utah is dedicated to giving back to the people and organizations it serves, and these branch improvements and charitable contributions are part of that ongoing commitment.

The branch renovation brought fresh updates to all three floors of the building, transforming the space into a more open, modern and welcoming environment. New windows were installed, and an eye-catching LED lighting display was added to the building’s exterior, ready to illuminate in colors celebrating local events, such as purple for Weber State University, orange for Ogden High School, and blue and gold for Bonneville High.

"Our clients showed such patience and understanding throughout the renovation process,” said Sherri Webb, South Ogden Branch Manager. “Staying open during renovations was all about being here for them, and they were incredibly flexible as they maneuvered around the construction. We’re truly grateful to serve such a wonderful community, and we can't wait to continue showing our support in this beautifully updated space."

As part of the celebration, Bank of Utah presented Salvation Army Ogden with a $1,000 donation to help kick off the organization's Red Kettle campaign, which provides essential services for local individuals and families .

“This donation will go to help feed people across Weber and Davis counties. There are many who are still struggling in this economy, and we are grateful for this support,” said Tim Kendall, Salvation Army Ogden board member.

Kendall highlighted the importance of the donation, noting the need within the community and the local Salvation Army pantry, which provides food boxes to families three days a week. “It’s humbling to see the need in our community. People line up all the way around the block to get help. The Salvation Army works tirelessly to meet that need, and we’re very appreciative of this contribution,” he added.

Bank of Utah President Branden P Hansen spoke to the bank’s deep commitment to the community.

"Our South Ogden branch renovation is more than just a new look — it’s a way to make our clients feel truly at home while strengthening our ties with the community,” he said. “That’s why we wanted to celebrate this new chapter by giving back to an organization like Salvation Army Ogden, which makes such a difference for people in need right here in our area."

Bank of Utah’s support for neighbors continues with initiatives such as the 12th Annual Warm Bodies, Warm Souls clothing drive. Through Nov. 15, you can drop off donations of new or gently used winter clothing at all branches and other community locations, or contribute online to help local families stay warm this season.
